Discover the wonders of the Hellenic Seas…
Sail away in Greece and discover all the treasures of the Hellenic Seas.
Greece is bounded on the South by the Mediterranean Sea. The ancient Greeks named it he hemetera thalassa or “our sea“.
The Aegean Sea connects to the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea by two straits. Many of Greece’s major islands are located here, such as Rhodes or Crete. It is an important area for wildlife conservation.
The Ionian Sea is a large bay of the Adriatic Sea. Greece’s Ionian islands include Corfu, Ithaca, Kefalonia, Kythira, Lefkada, Paxi and Zakynthos.

The true meaning of Greek Hospitality
Hellenic Sailing honours the virtue of Philoxenia. Translated from Greek, philoxenia literally means “friend to a stranger”.
There is much more to philoxenia than mere “hospitality”. Over the millennia the Greek generosity of spirit has become a cultural norm that is deeply embedded in every person in the nation.
For Greeks, it is about sharing their lives with others.
